Google timing or Ringminder default

If the event has its own reminder, Ringminder uses it. If it relies on Google's calendar default or has none, the Ringminder default applies.

Connect Google Calendar in a few steps

Choose Google during onboarding, select your account and approve read-only access. Ringminder also uses that Google identity to create or retrieve your account, avoiding a separate sign-up form.

Next, add your mobile number, confirm it by SMS and choose a voice and lead time. Timed events from your primary Google calendar appear in Upcoming Reminders.

What happens when an event changes?

Google notifies Ringminder when a calendar resource changes. Ringminder then reads the relevant events again: moving an appointment produces a new call time, while cancelling it prevents the old reminder from firing.

A regular fallback sync also runs. All-day events do not trigger calls because they have no usable start time.

Manage reminders imported from Google

When an event contains several reminders, Ringminder keeps the closest available reminder and gives priority to popup reminders. You can always override that choice in Ringminder.

Upcoming Reminders lets you update one or several events, return to automatic timing or mute events that do not need a call.

Frequently asked questions

Can Ringminder change my Google Calendar?

No. The calendar.readonly permission lets Ringminder read the events required for sync, but not create, edit or delete them.

Does every Google event trigger a call?

Confirmed future events with a specific time are eligible by default. You can mute or change each reminder in Ringminder. All-day events are excluded.

Can I remove access later?

Yes. Disconnect the calendar in Ringminder and revoke the permission from your Google Account security settings.
