Build a simple reminder routine
First confirm the prescription and instructions with your doctor or pharmacist. Then create a recurring event for each relevant time in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar, using a title you will recognize immediately.
Connect the calendar, verify the mobile by SMS and choose a lead time. Ringminder currently calls 15, 30 or 60 minutes before the event: for an 8 AM dose with a 15-minute lead, the call arrives at 7:45 AM. There is not yet a zero-minute option.
What the call can — and cannot — do
A call provides a more noticeable time cue than a quiet notification. It can complement a pill organizer, medicine chart, family support or advice from a pharmacist.
Ringminder does not know your prescription, detect interactions, confirm that a dose was taken or advise you after a missed dose. A missed call is not evidence that medicine was not taken.
Helping a relative with consent
A trusted person can help create and maintain the calendar. The recipient should understand the service, agree to the calls and confirm the mobile number with the SMS code.
The current version links one verified number to one account. It does not yet provide a multi-recipient caregiver dashboard or notify a caregiver when a call goes unanswered.
Frequently asked questions
Does Ringminder confirm that medicine was taken?
No. The call only delivers the reminder. It does not request confirmation or measure adherence.
Can I put the medicine name in the calendar?
Technically yes, because the event title is read during the call. Consider privacy: the title is synced with Ringminder and may be heard by someone near the phone.
Can I receive several reminders each day?
Yes, by creating several recurring events. Each call counts toward your plan's monthly quota.
