Simple Reminder Calls for Seniors
The phone rings as usual; the calendar works in the background.
Ringminder turns connected calendar events into calls to a verified mobile, with no receiving app to install.
Connect my calendarNo receiving app
The person answers a regular mobile call. They do not need to open Ringminder at reminder time.
Easy-to-recognize wording
The event title and time are read in French, English, German or Spanish.
A relative can help
With the person's agreement, a relative can help connect the calendar and verify the mobile by SMS.
Which events should become calls?
Good candidates are specific events that require action: leaving for an appointment, joining an activity, expecting a visit or completing a task at a set time.
Avoid turning every calendar item into a call. A few priority reminders with clear titles are easier to recognize than a stream of calls.
Set up Ringminder together
The person or a trusted relative connects Google Calendar, Outlook or iCloud, then enters the mobile that will receive calls. The SMS code sent to that phone confirms access and consent.
After a test call, check volume, caller display and whether the message is easy to understand. Adjust timing too: 60 minutes may suit travel, while 15 minutes may suit an at-home activity.
Respect habits and independence
Ask whether calls feel helpful, which times should be avoided and which titles are clearest. Reminders should support a chosen routine, not impose surveillance.
The current version supports one SMS-verified mobile per account. It does not verify landlines or manage several recipients in one dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
Does the senior need a smartphone?
They need a mobile number that can receive the verification SMS and calls. No Ringminder app is required when answering.
Can I manage several relatives from one account?
Not in the current version. One account uses one verified number and one call quota. A multi-recipient caregiver feature is not yet available.
How do I know whether the call connected?
The technical call status appears in the account history. It does not show whether the person understood the message or completed the action.
